denisse vega de santiago is the founder of hairy cow press, también conocida como publicaciones vaca peluda.

born in pachuca ‘la bella airosa’ in 1990, she writes, curates, assembles, lecto-performs, teaches in architecture, enjoys printing and making delicious home-made horchata. she is particularly obsessed with the spatial logics of racial capitalism, and with the methodological and pedagogical possibilities of fiction as a spatial and political practice.

Among other neoliberal achievements, denisse won a national chess title at the age of 11 and a scholarship for a ‘third country student’ at the decolonizing architecture postmaster program of the royal art institute in stockholm. she is a phd candidate at the architecture history and theory department at tu/eindhoven, seeking to draw a parallel genealogy of Mexican industrial architecture, neoliberalism and feminist latinx literature. Graduate from the Architecture Posgraduate Program of Piet Zwart Institute (Holland Scholarship, 2021) and the Contemporary Art Practice Posgraduate Program of Leiden University.

denisse has been hanging out, living with, study-ing, cooking, organizing, and karaoking together with biquini wax since 2024.
